Heads up............we got an exclusive sneak preview of the forthcoming Barbour Tokihito collection aka the Barbour Beacon Heritage Brand aka some of the best and most sought after outerwear styles available on the market. Based on pieces from Barbour’s remarkable archive, Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida once again, crafts a capsule collection of pure, unique and detail-rich jackets, engineered to the highest standards by Barbour.
Barbour’s military, sporting and motorcycling heritage are channelled into the SS11 collection, the fourth season of this remarkable collaboration. Artfully-washed Duralinen produces the authentically aged Field Jacket and Trials Shirt jacket, both in army olive with tartan print lining.
Barbour’s signature tartan invigorates the wader-inspired Tartan Blouson. Hunting-shooting-fishing garments are stylishly re-engineered in the pure-and-practical Hooded Hunter and Summer weight Sporting Quilt.
All-weather cyclists will be delighted with the bike-inspired Bonded Summer Bicycle Jacket, which is loaded with clever details such as extended back, longer arms and cinchable waist and collar.
A graduate from Kuwasawa Design School, Tokihito designed for companies including Blades Savile Row in Japan, before founding his own brand, To Ki To, in 1997. He is renowned for the soul and detail he invests in his garments. The Beacon Heritage Brand blends tradition and modernity, filtered with a masterful functionality and singular aesthetic.
The Spring Summer 2011 Barbour Beacon Heritage range is now available to pre order from www.numbersixlondon.com for delivery in January 2011.
