Vintage Polo Ads

Geposted von 2 am

It’s hard these days to find blogs that are worth keeping in your bookmarks, blogs that have originality and are not just filled with regurgitated posts everyone has seen before, that’s why when you find one of these blogs it’s a real treat, GWARIZM is one of those blogs. About a month ago a post was made featuring vintage Polo ads scanned from a Texas Monthly which are amazing to look at and reminds you why Polo should be in every mans wardrobe and probably always will be. Lo Lifes Documentry Trailer

Most gangs use colours to recognise who is on their side and who isn't. A gang formed in Brooklyn in the late 80s use a similar concept, however it isn't colours they use its the infamous all-American clothing brand Ralph Lauren. Taking their name from the second syllable of Polo, the 'Lo Lifes' religiously collected the vibrant coloured, boldly designed garments from a brand that stands for aspiration and wealth, something the gang wanted to convey by wearing it. They also respected the man himself, who had similar humble beginnings, hailing from the Bronx, so much so that some even carried photos of...

Ralph Lauren Preppy Gingham Traveller Swim Shorts

With the glorious late winter sunshine that has been bestowed upon us over the last few days, you can forgive some people for basking in the first rays of the year and partaking in various summer-esk activities. Although we weren't quite as keen to go all out summer mode we have taken into consideration spring is just around the corner and I think everybody can be forgiven for thinking towards their plans for the summer! People were evidently already eager to get into their warmer weather gear over the weekend, and discard their winter coats, hats and scarves and forget...

New Season taster from Penfield

Geposted von 2 am

Hands up if you have been waiting with baited breath ever since the temperature dropped for Penfield to deliver their new season goods into stores?? Yes, well so have we and we got more then ever so slightly excited when Dave from UPS came through the door with a couple of boxes from non other then one of our favourite outerwear specialists, Penfield USA. Our excitement turned to disappointment when we realised it was their shirts, hats, bags and no sign of the jackets but then we were soon back on cloud nine as we have found that whatever Penfield...

Number Six Latest - New Season Velour

Geposted von 2 am

One of our favourites, Velour has arrived from the sunny, sometimes chilly but always very welcoming shores of Gothenburg. Seems to us that a lot of what is good that is going on right now appears to be coming out of Scandinavia and if we remember rightly, this was a prediction that was made by ourselves way back in 2007 when we first clapped eyes on a few of the brands that have gone on to establish themselves as the more innovative players in this competitive market. The bar has been raised to a particularly high level which is in...
