Dacey's lunch in Copenhagen. Open sandwiches followed by a pint of the local brew, Carlsberg, followed by a trip to NN07 to buy the new season collection.

New Season Universal Works and Sanders And Co

A long, long time ago in a city far away........................1993 and Nottingham to be precise, one of the good fellows here at Number Six spent the Summer packing boxes in the Paul Smith warehouse. Whilst there, he became familiar with the head of all of Mr Smiths production, a gentleman that goes by the name of David Keyte. In a nutshell, David was in charge of all of the production for all of the global business that Paul Smith was doing around about that time. Back then, even by todays standards, that was a huge amount of business as well...

The old Homestead Steakhouse

Geposted von 2 am

When in Rome, do as the Romans do..........or alternatively, when in New York make sure you eat big, juicy cuts of beef. We headed to the oldest (and finest) steak house in Manhattan that goes by the name of The Old Homestead Steak House. No fashion types or trendies watching what they eat in this gaff, just New Yorkers eating some of the biggest steaks that we have ever seen in our lives. I opted for the Porterhouse, medium rare, whilst Leila got involved in a hamburger that looked like it took a whole half cow through the mincer to make...

New York New York!!

A tiny bit jet lagged as I sit here in the Number Six HQ. Reason being, I just returned from the Capital of the World, New York City where a visit to Capsule New York (and a couple of NY based showrooms) proved most fruitful. As well as catching up with Mark McNairy , an old friend from back in the good old days of TBC, we placed an order with him for his fine collection of Sanders and Bass produced footwear and exquisite Brooks brothers shirts. There are a lot of ways to describe what Mark does (and all of them in a positive...

Our Legacy

Just been on a whistle stop tour of Europe on the scour for some new garms for the store. Met up with an old aquaintance of ours, Mr Oliver Saunders who is now doing a sterling job organising a very nice boutique trade show in Berlin called Seek http://www.premiumexhibitions.com/news/seek/ as well as fronting up all sales for Swedish brand Our Legacy. Needless to say we placed an order for next Spring with Oli on the beautifully turned out Our Legacy collection as well as picking up a very nice (and unbelievably priced) Danish luggage range by the name of Sandqvist. Good work Mr Saunders, we will...

We have been getting spoilt rotten recently. Reason being, we've just been on our travels, checking out all of the fine garments that are going to be gracing the pages of www.numbersixlondon.com and the rails of the store and boy oh boy, what a treat everyone is in for. We cannot say too much just now but there are some absolute belters in the pipeline. Keep your eyes and ears open and in the not too distant future, we will be able to let you into the circle of trust to tell you all about some of the gear we...

nn07 - Number Six UK Exclusive

Geposted von 2 am

We just arrived back from a stealth mission into Denamark to be first to lay claim to another of a seemingly never ending list of exciting brands that have consistently been coming out of Scandinavia in recent years. Going by the name of nn07, the "nn" standing for "no nationality" and the "07" being the year they launched, these boys are well savvy in putting together a collection of clothing that can competently rub shoulders with some of the most well respected and long established brands in the market today. We have been keeping our beady eyes on this...
